Easter Sunday: Our Bear-shaped Easter Egg

2 Easter Sunday's ago, we drove the very long way from London to Shropshire to pick up the second addition to our family. Although Easter Sunday falls on different days each year, I still always take the time to celebrate Bear's arrival into our family, and if he's lucky he gets to share a doggy Easter egg with his sister.

Here's Bear, a few days after we got him on his first trip into the garden with Bambi. So cute! And as you can see, the weather for Easter back then was a lot better than it is now. Brr!!! It's still freezing!

Happy Easter!

Much love,

A quick note from me on Royal Mail's price increase...

The already crippling Royal Mail prices are due to rise in some cases by over 130%.

This could be life threatening to small businesses like mine across the country. Please take a moment to sign this petition and voice your concerns to the Government, who have the power to change this. Thank you. X

If you want like to download a pdf version their new Price Guide leaflet for yourself you can do so from here:

Although I must warn you that it makes for some quite depressing reading.

Happy Thursday,

Chin up folks!

Hello Spring? It's me. Are you there?

Hi Everyone!

How are you? Did you all survive the weekend? What the hell is going on with this crazy weather? I don't think I can remember the last time I was so bloody cold! Bambi and Bear are certainly not fans of the wind either. They nearly got blown away on our walk yesterday!

How did you spend your weekend? Snuggled up under the duvet? That's all I really wanted to do but I've mainly spent all of my spare time preparing for my trip to Paris in April.

I hope the weather warms up a bit before then!

I've got all my bags packed, and comfy outfits sorted for the long days at the park. I'm taking lots of layered clothes but hopefully it won't be too cold. As I mentioned before I'm hoping to do some OOTD posts whilst I'm out there.

I've also been trying to break in my new comfy shoes. I got some new trainer type shoes to take with me as all I have are big boots or ballet flats and they aren't the most comfortable for walking really long distances in.

We went for a walk around Eton/Dorney Lake with the dogs and honestly I think it was colder than the Antarctic. The wind was so strong and it was just piercing through my layers and layers of thick clothes. My skin was so sore afterwards. It was horrible!

Usually there is loads of dog walkers there. We met this cute little baby pug there last time we went, but obviously everybody else had the right idea and stayed at home in the warm!

I also went out for a lovely pub lunch with the family at The Shire Horse in Maidenhead. It was really nice to be able to talk to people that normally you can't really see that much, for whatever reason, and I had a really nice time.

This is me just before I left. I forgot to blot my lipstick before I left as I was in a rush and it ended up all over my teeth. What a rookie mistake!

I was also a good girl and stuck to my weight loss plan. I had diet coke to drink and a steak and salad for lunch. It was very yummy! I've lost just over 1.5 stone now and I am rather ambitiously hoping to get my 2 stone award before I leave for my trip to Paris, but I don't think 6lbs in 2 weeks is very realistic.

We'll see! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Speaking of Paris, I may have got a little bit over excited and insisting on eating my breakfast on Saturday morning out of my Disney egg ups like a 6 year old. I'm too excited! I just can't help acting like a big kid when it comes to anything Disney related.

What have you been up to? Has anyone else been to Disneyland Paris before? I need all the inside tips that I can get!

Much love,

Hayley xo

A little update from me...

Sorry I haven't blogged in a little while. I've been quite busy with the launch of our Etsy shop and generally just trying to get things organised for our new product launches.

Here's a little bit of what I've been up to since we last spoke.

I celebrated Mother's Day with a weekend trip to see my Mum. We had a lovely dinner and she liked all of her handmade presses from me.

I booked my trade stall at Croydon Tattoo Convention in June (more about that later!) so I've been super excited about that and I've been trying to plan the products that I will be taking with me.

I've also been sourcing some beautiful fabrics for our bandanas and bow ties which should be launching in the next few weeks.

I had my checkup eye test and got some new glasses that make me look like Velma from Scooby Doo.

At least now I'll actually be able to see properly, which is good because I got a bajillion new business books to read this year so I can hopefully improve on my skills :)

I booked my trip to Disneyland! OMG I'M SO EXCITED! I'm going for 5 days from the 6th of April and I've literally been bouncing off the walls with excitement since we booked it a few days ago. I've already packed all of my outfits, and chosen my hair accessories. I decided to plan quite far in advance, despite not knowing what the weather is going to be like as you usually don't seen me in anything other than dresses, so I had to plan some very casual and sensible rockabilly inspired outfits that were suitable for the days in the park, as I don't think my dresses would have faired too well on the roller coasters! I've made a little goal that I'm going to try and do daily Outfit of The Day posts whilst I'm there which I NEVER do so hopefully you'll like those.

As some of you already know I've also been on a weight loss journey this year. I started in November and I just recently (FINALLY!) got my 1 stone award after much to-ING and fro-ING backwards and forwards around the mark since Christmas. I'm only a couple of pounds away from my next 2 awards so I'm looking forward to getting those (hopefully before I leave for Paris).

Speaking of weight loss, that brings me on to my next point. I've got lots of barely worn clothes to sell that they no longer fit me. I brought most of them for my holiday in September last year and i haven't really worn them since (most have been in a box) so they are all good quality. I'll be adding a blog sale page to this blog as I didn't really know where else to put it. If you're interested in buying some hardly worn plus size clothes in sizes 18 - 22 then click the link here. I'll probably have some more clothes to add at the end of April so keep your peepers peeled!

What have you been up to since we last spoke? Do let me know in the comments below.Speak soon! Love,

Hayley xo
